From our initial discussion about your remodeling project to the end result, we care about providing options that meet your function, aesthetic and budget needs.
Call us to chat about your project. We want to know how we can make those edits in your home to fit you and your unique lifestyle. This is when we ask the question: “Would you like us to bring in a general contractor or have you hired one for the job already?” We are flexible and can work with your preferred GC or introduce you to one of our trusted partners with whom we have an established working relationship.
After our initial phone conversation, Edit Interiors schedules a complimentary visit to your home and walks through it with you. We review the existing space, snap a few pictures, and take approximate measurements in order to present a preliminary estimate to you. We offer our ideas and – most importantly – listen to your vision and pay close attention to the specific function, goals, and design aesthetic you want the remodel to achieve.
We present you with an initial project estimate and clearly outline our objectives and proposed timeline. The Edit Interiors team likes to share our insights, practical tips, and solutions with you early-on in the process. Our clients appreciate this communication immensely. We’re open and transparent about our product selection and present multiple options for you to consider. If you’re on board with us, we discuss a mutually beneficial project start date and develop a schedule.
Your entire home should flow seamlessly and share a connection with each space. The designers at Edit Interiors achieve this through color, finishes, materials, furniture, fabrics, and all of the details in between. We want you to be ecstatic with the design elements we’re incorporating into your home. All details big and small are given equal attention during this phase to ensure the outcome is spectacular. We bring samples to your home because it’s important that you see finishes in your actual space, and we also invite you to join us in showrooms for certain selections.
Clear communication is vital to the success of any project, so we hope you don’t mind hearing from us frequently. We visit your home regularly. We provide an overview of the week ahead and touch base as needed day-to-day. You’re hiring us not only for our design and construction talent, but also for our incredible organizational skills. We manage everything for you so you can continue life as usual.
"...I explained my overall vision for the kitchen to her. She agreed that a kitchen desk can be the command center of a home (not an eyesore like other designers said!). She asked me questions I had not considered: would the trim be white or stay brown? Should we add new/more lighting? She really connected with me and my space on that first day.
The overall design process could not have been easier or more enjoyable. Within days of our initial consultation, Joanna had PDFs full of sink ideas, hardware options, faucets, prices, and comments. She came to my house with samples of backsplashes, quartz, paint, and wallpaper samples. I never felt pressure to choose something I didn’t love. Without being the least bit pushy, she helped me make decisions, kept me on a timeline and was respectful of my budget.
Joanna also had great advice. Originally, we thought we would save money and replace the powder room vanity. After talking it over, however, we decided to keep the original vanity and paint it. She was able to pivot so easily! I also had an idea to make the entire wall behind my desk a corkboard. After weighing the pros and cons, Joanna was able to find a beautiful custom pin board that met both my functional need and the aesthetic of my new kitchen.
I thought I wanted a bold wallpaper design on only one wall in the powder room. When Joanna brought samples, she had plenty of bold choices, but she also brought some subtle colors and textures, explaining it might be beautiful to paper the entire room. I fell in love with one of her choices, and I couldn’t be happier with a fully wallpapered powder room! I would never have thought to do that.
The results of my renovation were unimaginable, even though I thought about it for years! Joanna helped me accomplish so much: an extension of my hardwood floor all the way through the kitchen to the powder room; the elimination of a two-tiered “island” that makes my space feel so much bigger; beautiful lighting that brightens up the entire room; a backsplash all my friends envy; more space to accommodate a larger fridge (life changing!); the list goes on and on.
Working with Joanna was a wonderful experience. She is kind, professional, organized and talented. I hope she will work with me on all my future design projects!”
